In Episode 14, we talk with Victoria Adams, author of Redefining Job and the Conundrum of Suffering. In her book Victoria covers attitudes toward suffering from the ancient Greek and Persian civilizations, through pre-Renaissance scholars, the Eighteenth Century Enlightenment, and on through our own contemporary time. She covers fictional works in addition to straight prose to tease out practical responses we might have in light of the horrible things happening today. Victoria also shares some of her other writings and what she’s working on next.
